Stephane Mahu (c. 1485-c.1541) was a German composer who flourished in the early years of the 16th century. Very little is known about him. Some of his works appear in the Joanelli’s Thesaurus of 1568. His German songs are best known. He seems to have been more Lutheran than Roman, considering his settings of poems by Martin Luther and Georg Rhau.
