Jacob ter Veldhuis: To Ignition
The Gelders Fanfare Orchestra (GFO) is currently touring a number of Gelderland theaters with the concert program XPLORE!, in preparation for the World Music Competition in Kerkrade in July.
Together with light composer Teus van der Stelt, the GFO, one of the leading fanfare orchestras in the Benelux, takes the audience on a mission through the universe. Director-narrator Frans Limburg enriches the journey of discovery – which goes from the star Vega via the gates of heaven to the moon – with his stories. The overall leadership is in the hands of conductor Erik van de Kolk. The program illustrates the aim of the GFO to always discover and explore innovative combinations and possibilities: XPLORE!
