Toonzetters

What do today’s twenty-somethings sound like? Toonzetters is a kaleidoscopic concert by twenty young Dutch composers. Different styles and characters, from neo-romantic percussion to piano sound sculptures and jazzy electronics, are discussed at a rapid pace. Over the course of an hour, a lively portrait of music today unfolds, performed by four great musicians with hypnotic film images by Bowie Verschuuren and directing advice from Jos van Kan. An album was released by 7 Mountain Records in 2023.
