“Sacred and profane. Ukrainian Voices” to announce a special concert event in the Berlin Cathedral. On Saturday, August 27, 2022, at 8:00 p.m., the Kyiv vocal ensemble “Alter Ratio”, which is currently scattered across Europe, will make its Berlin debut. The evening’s program is dedicated to the historical multiculturalism of Ukraine – in addition to music by contemporary Ukrainian composers, works by Arvo Pärt, Meredith Monk and the English Renaissance composer Thomas Tallis will also be performed. The high vocal culture of the ensemble and the stylistic variety of the program promise a special aesthetic experience. Admission to the concert is free, donations are welcome.

A Singer’s Farewell Semi-staged performance with beautiful music from the Romantic period. There was a time when increasing age meant wisdom and respect. That is no longer self-evident. Singing at the highest level has a limited duration. At some point, singers say goodbye to the family from which they seemed inseparable.
