Calliope Tsoupaki: ‘Into Space’; video by Black Pencil

Into Space’ (2022),  written by Calliope Tsoupaki for Black Pencil for the reopening of Green Cathedral (De Groene Kathedraal).

The Green Cathedral is a beautiful concept by Marinus Boezem. A life-size replica of Reims Gothic cathedral Notre-Dame in which Italian poplars shape the floor plan. My visit to The Green Cathedral was a very nice experience. Walking through the landscape artwork, I was genuinely moved. I was moved not only by the artwork itself but also by the location, surrounded by a motorway, cycle path and new housing estate. Everything is in harmony. The composition is also called ‘Into Space’.
The world premiere was on4 June 2022.
