Joey Roukens: Riffs
A Musical roadtrip with violon and piano
This musical project was born from a musical encounter between a Lebanese-American violinist and a Franco-Lebanese pianist, both living in Paris. Their cultural openings and their respective musical experiences pushed them to explore various musical styles from various countries and cultures. With this program, they introduce us to various musical universes and eras. From English post-romanticism to French modernism, from the American jazzy universe, to Armenian and Lebanese lyricism and Spanish enthusiasm, while passing through Dutch contemporary music, the two artists defend an eclectic, rich and varied program focusing on dialogue. cultures and the mixing of styles and musical languages.
