From April 28 to May 1 2022, the first Mostly Modern Festival – The Netherlands will take place in Middelburg, a collaboration with the annual New York composers festival under the artistic direction of Robert Paterson. Six up-and-coming composers from all over the world have their works performed by professional musicians. We also link the festival to visual art and food design. A festive experience for all the senses!
After a worldwide selection, the following composers have been selected for the MMF the Netherlands and will be present live: Elise Arancio (US), David Roche (UK), Nathan Kelly (US), Ryan McWilliams (US), David Adams (US), Zach Gulaboff Davis (US), Christian Blaha (NL) and Robert Paterson (US).
Christian Blaha’s ‘Cantate for soprano, Bariton, Piano and String Orchestra’ will be performed in the Oostkerk and ’24 Liederen onder water’ will be performed in the Zeeuwse Concertzaal.
