Pierre Moulu

Pierre Moulu (c.1484-c.1550) was working at the French royal chapel during the first decades of the 16th century. Very little is known about his life and education. He was inspired by Josquin Desprez, considering the paired imitations that were so specific for Josquin and many of his successors. He may have written many motets and masses that were attributed to Jean Mouton or Josquin later on. Some of his motets occur in the Lamentations of Jeremiah (published by Donemus).
