Donemus at Classical:Next

Valeria Gorokhovskaya and Davo van Peursen represented Donemus Publishing at the Classical:Next Conference in Berlin. We had many meetings with partners and representatives of ensembles, festivals from all kinds of places. We joined some interesting presentations.

Statistics indicate that:
– The aging of concert audiences aligns with the general aging of the population
– The average age of people playing an instrument is decreasing over the years
– The percentage of new music in concert programs is increasing

On Thursday, Donemus including the Dutch team of composers, label managers, and the Nieuw Geneco team were all graciously invited to a reception at the Dutch Embassy in Berlin, where the Oorkaan Ensemble delivered a captivating performance. We met the chief editor of Berlin and some composers living nearby.

The next Classical:Next Conference will be on 12-15 May 2025 in Berlin again.
