Aftab Darvishi: to…serenity

The Anzû Quartet was born in 2020 as an international collaboration with interpretive music with American composers. The starting point for the composition process is the development of the quality of the music of Olivier Messiaen – etwa for the Canadian composer and composer Anna Webber, who moves within the composition of jazz and new music. Webber’s work is based on the spatial sounds of the clarinet and the sounds of these cyclical phrases and variations.

On the program works by Cassie Wieland, Josué Collado Fregoso, Ken Thomson, Aftab Darvishi and Anna Webber.
