Alexey Retinsky: Prelude to Prelude

Teodor Currentzis conducts the SWR Symphonieorchester with a program featuring symphonic opera paraphrases by Richard Wagner: these few facts alone are enough to highlight the exceptional nature of this concert. Once again, Currentzis incorporates historical references – enriching the main works of the evening with a musical meditation on Wagner by Ukrainian-Russian composer Alexei Retinsky.
