Dr. Christine Beard (Professor of Flute, The University of Nebraska at Omaha) will present a lecture-recital entitled “Becoming a Witness: Music for Flute by Composers of the Holocaust” at the Samuel Bak Museum and Learning Center. Joined by Mary Perkinson (violin), Tyler Sieh (viola) and Gregory Clinton (cello), the lecture will include a performance of solo and chamber music by Rosy Wertheim (1888-1949) and Reine Colaço Osorio-Swaab (1881-1971).
