At the heart of this program is the North American premiere of Haiku Notebook by celebrated composer Benet Casablancas, winner of the 2025 Donald Aird Memorial Prize. This cornerstone performance headlines an evening of evocative modern works, including pieces by Charles Ives, Hyo-shin Na, Clay McMillan, and Shuying Li.

  • Mark Winges: Loki’s Lair (2018), for flute, viola, and cello.
  • Shuying Li: The Wild Party (2025), for flute, clarinet, violin, viola, cello, piano, soprano, and conductor. Text by Joseph Moncure March (1928); adapted by Jeffrey Hastings (2025). World premiere and Fromm Foundation commission.

Maxim Shalygin: Dolcissima
