Bianca Bongers : A Jewel to the Harp

The Dutch composer Bianca Bongers and Flemish composer Ellen Jacobs are the centre of a concert by a German-Icelandic quartet. This is the closest Transit will get to the pan-European idea at this year. Two world premieres for the unusual combination of flute, clarinet, harp and percussion. C0-production with November Music.

“I want to make a jewel to the harp. The ensemble piece can be placed on the harp piece, just like a jewel. it makes the harp shine, gives dept and enhances the sound. When you take it off, you can lay it at your nightstand or save it in your drawer, and still it will be beautiful, refined.”

  • Composer(s) Bianca Bongers, Ellen Jacobs, Bart de Vrees, Andrius Arutiunian
  • Title(s) of the Work(s)

'A jewel to the harp' for harp (2022) / for piccolo, bass clarinet, harp & percussion (2020)

  • Performer, Ensemble or Orchestra Ensemble Adapter
