Bram Kortekaas: arrangement Brahms’ Geistliches Lied
The Lierse chamber choir Helicon has been a resounding name in the Flemish choral landscape for decades. At the start of the summer, Helicon celebrates its fortieth anniversary with highlights from the choir’s musical journey. A festive menu in the company of Lassus, Schütz, Brahms, Mendelssohn, Vaughan Williams, Nees… The final piece will be Carmen Amoris by Jan Van der Roost, composed especially for Helicon. For this grandiose concert, Helicon calls on La Passione, the orchestra with which the choir has built up a unique bond over the years.
