Bram Kortekaas: Cosmic Cliffs, world premiere by the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra

Dutch composer and political scientist Bram Kortekaas regularly uses his academic background as a source of inspiration for his music. He is writing a completely new work for the orchestra.

Now Minasi leads the orchestra in Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 5, which he composed on the occasion of three hundred years of Reformation in Germany. Brahms can also be heard from his devout side in a few chorale preludes, organ works in the tradition of Bach, modestly arranged by Henk de Vlieger. Veronika Eberle plays Schumann’s Violin Concerto Veronika Eberle is the soloist in Schumann’s Violin Concerto. She belongs to the small group of violin virtuosos who have mastered this rarely played masterpiece. It was one of Schumann’s last major works, premiered 84 years after his death.
