Calliope Tsoupaki: A song for Isidora

‘A song for Isidora’ by Calliope Tsoupaki on the solo program by violinist Julija Hartig at the Winteravonden aan de Amstel festival.

It is not surprising that Julija Hartig is described as ‘a curious violinist with courage’. In addition to her orchestral and chamber music activities, her life took a turn during Covid, when she decided to record a solo CD. The result was ‘D a r k V e l v e t’, a musical autobiography in 2022. With this special CD she won an Edison Classical 2023 in the Newcomer National category. This morning she will play a number of works from this CD, supplemented with Prokofiev’s Sonata for solo violin.
