Calliope Tsoupaki: A song for You

Revolts against the established order were a key factor in shaping modern Europe between the 16th and 18th centuries. Music itself was also subject to these powers (religious, monarchic, bourgeois) and reflected their influence. By the 20th century, the revolt was directed towards some of the conventions of music, by composers such as Ligeti. In this concert recorder player Lucie Horsch and harpsichord player Olga Pashchenko present a programme with a difference, featuring works by Telemann, Dutch composer Jakob van Eyck, Father Soler and Ligeti himself.

Krists Auznieks: Endlessly Luminous Path

In May 2026, Sinfonietta Rīga will perform the world premiere of a new work by Latvian composer Krists Auznieks titled ‘Endlessly Luminous Path’. The concert marks the closing of the orchestra’s 20th anniversary season and the final performance of Normunds Šnē in his role as the orchestra’s founder and long-time artistic leader.
