Calliope Tsoupaki, Guus Janssen & Maxim Shalygin

High-profile musicians and ensembles play new music by composers working in the Netherlands. There will be performances by Calefax, the cellist Maya Fridman, the composing pianist Marion von Tilzer, percussionist Konstantyn Napolov (photo) and accordionist Vincent van Amsterdam together with violinist Tosca Opdam. Kate Moore performs with her Herz Ensemble. Singer-songwriters Sanne Rambags and Genevieve Murphy perform their own songs. The Ukrainian pianist Antonii Baryshevskii, who has settled in Amsterdam, plays works by Calliope Tsoupaki, Guus Janssen and Maxim Shalygin. Aad van Nieuwkerk will do the presentation. And he will provide the live broadcast of VPRO Free Sounds from 23:00 to conclude the festive 2nd edition of the Dag van de Componist (Composer’s Day).
