Calliope Tsoupaki: Vesper

ΜεταPHYSICS – that which is perceptible beyond the senses…

Abstract concepts such as existence, death, belief, love, and music all have a deeper, more transcendent quality. They are not quite describable and thus metaphysical.

The Hague Vocal Ensemble conducted by Angeliki Ploka will perform a programme including many Netherlands premieres of contemporary composers, including Calliope Tsoupaki’s Vesper, sung alongside three choral mainstays by Brahms, Grieg and Mahler.
