Canto Ostinato by Rondane Kwartet
For the twelfth year in a row, the Rondane Quartet will perform two works by the Bergen composer Simeon ten Holt in De Duif. The Rondane Quartet, praised for their interpretations of Ten Holt’s five full-length compositions for four keyboard instruments, have been making music together for over eighteen years. This translates into peerless and surprisingly refreshing interplay. Four grand pianos, one sound.
Canto Ostinato seduces, moves and makes you forget time. The Rondane Quartet, four Fazioli-wings and De Duif: the perfect ingredients for a musical and unforgettable adventure for both the audience and the pianists. These Canto Ostinato performances are now part of a festive concert tradition at Stadsherstel, in which the authentic sound of Simeon ten Holt’s music takes centre stage and the pianists continue to challenge each other musically and therefore provide a special experience every time!
Naturally, we adhere to all regulations and guidelines of the Dutch government and the RIVM and we think about the health and safety of the audience, musicians and staff. We ask you to observe the 1.5 metres measure and to stay home if you have a cold.
