Carlos Micháns: Broken Dances
Every first Tuesday of the month, students from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam take the stage of the Oosterkerk in Amsterdam. Be the first to discover emerging talent in this concert series presented by Stadsherstel and the Conservatory.
On February 3rd, at 8.00pm, the Threeds Saxophone Trio will be playing the Dutch premiere of Broken Dances by Carlos Micháns. The piece was commissioned by the American saxophonist Mathew Fowler in 2022. A diverse journey from the Baroque precision of Bach to the modern “Broken Dances” of Michans.

Threeds Saxophone Trio
Formed in 2023 within the halls of the Amsterdam Conservatory, the Threeds Trio features musicians from Thailand, Taiwan, the United States, and New Zealand. This ensemble brings a unique international flair to the stage, dedicated to elevating the saxophone trio through meticulous transcriptions and newly commissioned works.
