Carlos Micháns: Strijkkwartet No. 2
On 20th July the Hermitage String Quartet will be playing String Quartet Nr. 2 by Carlos Micháns during the Aurora Festival 2023.
When we talk about American music, we first think of North America: Bernstein, Gershwin, Copland are well-known names for the seasoned music lover. But the music from Latin America is still unknown territory for many. Latin America, however, has an exceptional musical diversity. In three concerts we take you on a musical journey of discovery through this intriguing part of the world. Tonight we visit Argentina. A sensitive violin solo by Sylvina Milstein, a ferocious tango by Golijov and finally, of course, the atmosphere of Buenos Aires as Astor Piazolla captured it incomparably!
