Celia Swart: Losing
A something in a summer’s day
In her new programme, Saskia Lankhoorn uses compositions to paint a picture of a summer’s day at Wonderfeel. She combines works from young Dutch female composers with music from ancient masters. For example, Celia Swart, Anne-Maartje Lemereis, and Johannes Brahms. Her programme breathes wonder and stillness, and connects to the words from Emily Dickinson’s poem: ‘A something in a summer’s day’.
