The Grote Poëzieprijs is one of the most important prizes in the Dutch language area, with a cash prize of €20,000 for the winner. During a programme full of music and poetry, the 2025 winner will be announced this evening. The programme will be broadcast live on the radio in Opium on NPO Klassiek. The broadcast will be presented by Annemieke Bosman, with a special guest presenter for this evening, writer Martin Rombouts. Judges Elfie Tromp, Michael Tedja and Barbara Fraipont will also be present to announce the winner.

Prior to the announcement of the winner, the shortlisted poets will be highlighted with their collections. The Dudok Quartet will play live two new compositions written by Rotterdam composer Celia Swart and inspired by two shortlisted collections. In addition, writer Martin Rombouts will recite some poems from the shortlisted collections. As icing on the cake, the audience prize will also be awarded.
