Daan Manneke/ Annette Kruisbrink / Nikos Kokolakis

Carillonneur Wim Ruitenbeek plays pieces by the Dutch composers Alex Manassen, John Siemons, Daan Manneke, Annette Kruisbrink and Arend Gerds. Music from Nikos Kokolakis, who studied composition in The Hague, can also be heard. And of course an adaptation of the new City Song by Toon Hagen cannot be missed!

All works, except Daan Mannekes There are pieces, were composed specifically for this carillon. Some pieces were entries for the composition competition organized by the Zwolle Carillon Foundation in 2015. The Zwolle Carillon Book is a lasting reminder of this. Annette Kruisbrink and Arend Gerds studied composition at the Zwolle Conservatory with Alex Manassen, of whom Daan Manneke was one of the teachers.
