In November 2024, Daan Manneke will turn 85 years old. In honor of this milestone, he wants to perform his famous composition ‘Great Archipel’ again. He has chosen to perform this special work in the Nieuwe Veste Concert Hall, a location dear to him. We are happy to give this gift to him and are happy to share this musical gift with you, as a valued audience. ‘The Great Archipelago’ is a tribute to the province of Zeeland, inspired by the powerful Zeeland slogan ‘Luctor et Emergo’ (I struggle and emerge). The composition embodies the strong spirit and resilience of Zeeland and is an essential part of Manneke’s impressive repertoire.
