Dafina Zeqiri Nushi: Saint Catharina

Well-known English violinist Peter Sheppard Skærved, a Grammy-nominated artist, will perform the work. Sheppard Skærved is an Honorary Professor at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, a Fellow at the Royal Academy of Music in London and visiting researcher at Goldsmiths, University of London. He also regularly gives masterclasses and workshops at schools in the United States, including Peabody Conservatoire, Vanderbilt University, Ithaca College, Middlebury College, Cornell University.

With the help of a collective of composers, all inspired by the Krämarka chapel, Sheppard Skærved will now perform newly written works for solo violin that cast a new light on the room; its atmosphere, acoustics, architecture and aesthetics. Together we get the chance to experience the Krämarkapelle from the composers’ point of view and enjoy their musical interpretations of the marvelous beauty of the room.
