David Mastikosa: Escape

We cordially invite you to the next series of contemporary music concerts under the title Concerts with premieres 2. In the second of them, you will have the opportunity to listen to exceptional compositions for the accordion.

Peter Katina’s concert program entitled East – West presents an imaginary confrontation of the works of contemporary Eastern and Central European composers with Western European creators, while the dramaturgy of the concert places emphasis on character-diverse approaches, a special perception of the sonority of the instrument and the technical and expressive parameters of the accordion. Peter Katina will present works exploring the sonoristic qualities of both the instrument and the composition with an avant-garde concept of the structure of the musical text. At the same time, the concert will be accompanied by a commentary in which he will explain the background of the creation of the compositions and their basic compositional starting points. All compositions will be performed in the Slovak or world premiere.

Luc Brewaeys: Haydn ? / The Zappa Album

BREWAEYS MEETS ZAPPA “Les extrèmes se touchent”, is sometimes said. The saying certainly applies to this concert about Luc Brewaeys, who took these words as his motto. Ten years after Brewaeys’ death, numerous ensembles, orchestras and concert halls join forces to provide a rich cross-section of the music of one of Flanders’ most remarkable composers.
