Dmitri Kourliandski: Looming Lines for a singing pianist
Join us for an evening of artistic innovation on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, as part of the Berlin Science Week at the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine. Under the banner of SPARK: Creative Processes in the Arts and Sciences, this event explores how creators and researchers navigate radical transformation.
The highlight of the evening is the work of acclaimed composer Dmitri Kourliandski. The program features the world premiere of his new piece, Looming Lines (2026), specifically commissioned for the SPARK concert series. This captivating seven-minute piece will be performed by pianist SooJin Anjou, who will uniquely take on the role of a singing pianist.
