Hanna Kulenty: Concerto Rosso
Extremely intense, expressive, but also full of deep and elegiac sounds – the compositions in the program of the last concert in this season in the Sinfonietta Nova cycle will allow you to immerse yourself in a whirlwind of musical experiences. The starting point for this journey will be, among others, the music of Henryk Mikołaj Górecki and Aleksander Nowak with the original, improvised cadenzas of “Pianohooligan”, Piotr Orzechowski. In addition, the evening’s program will feature works by two contemporary artists – Concerto Rosso by Hanna Kulenty with the participation of the orchestra and chamber quartet of Sinfonietta Cracovia and Within her arms by the English-American composer, Anna Clyne. The evening with Sinfonietta and Piotr Orzechowski will be marked by contrasts – from pulsating and trance rhythms to subtle and lyrical sounds that will fill the austere interior of the Łaźnia Nowa Theatre.
