The Rijswijkse Tollens Ensemble will celebrate its 50th anniversary on Sunday, October 20, 2024 with a festive concert in the Oude Kerk, Herenstraat in Rijswijk.
A completely Dutch program was chosen. The anniversary concert will have an extra Rijswijk touch. The Rijswijkse Tollens Ensemble will play a work by the Rijswijk composer Ruud Koumans and Rijswijker Davo van Peursen, director of Donemus, will provide an explanation of the program.
Works by Pieter Hellendaal, Hendrik Andriessen, Albert de Klerk, Herman Strategier and Ruud Koumans will be performed under the inspiring leadership of Marten Sijbrandij.
Soloistic participation by Ton van Eck (organ) in the “Concert for organ positive and strings” by Albert de Klerk and Marjo Ineke (flute), Willem Luijt (oboe), Anne van Eck (violin) and Katja Dirven (cello) in the “Chromatic variations for solo quartet and string orchestra” by Hendrik Andriessen.
