La Terre obscure, les Cieux brillants

In this time of dark worlds around us, but also of the still beckoning distances of justice, reconciliation, peace, music continues to appeal to us and takes us along.

In this concert we therefore sing about dark death and vibrant life in songs by Bach, Purcell, Schütz (Musikalische Exequien, part I, 6 voices, ca. 1635), Pärt, Tavener, Andriessen, among others. The ensemble is supplemented by six soloists and an organist.
