Hendrik Andriessen: Variations on a theme by Couperin
On Sunday, November 29, the Amersfoort-based string ensemble Musica Montana will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a special Autumn Jubilee Concert. The performance will take place at the Nieuwe Kerk in Amersfoort, traditionally starting at 15:00.
For this milestone celebration, the orchestra collaborates with renowned flutist Judith Jamin. The complete musical program highlights a refined selection of 20th-century classical works, featuring the centerpiece composition by the prominent Dutch composer Hendrik Andriessen, Variaties op een thema van Couperin (Variations on a Theme by Couperin). This main piece is arranged beautifully for a five-string orchestra alongside solo flute and harp.
