“Views from Dutch Trains” is an inspiring musical project that highlights the social and environmental impact of train travel in the Netherlands. Organized by Mallet Collective, this project combines the power of music with the message of sustainable mobility. By recording a CD of new Dutch compositions, the project translates the experience of train travel into a musical journey that calls for a more environmentally conscious lifestyle.

Train travel is not only a way to get around, but also a reflection of the beauty of the Dutch landscape, the rhythm of daily life, and the urgent need to reduce our ecological footprint. These compositions bring the listener closer to the experience of train travel – from the tranquility of vast meadows to the vibrancy of urban stations. The project invites us to consider the role of train travel as an environmentally friendly alternative to car and air travel, and sustainability

Featuring new works by Misha, Antal and Jo Sporck, Anthony Fiumara, Jacob ter Veldhuis and Dordtsche composer Jannum Kruidhof.
