JacobTV’s Sax Crossover at Festisax’24 Perpignan
The three-day FestiSax event focuses on ensemble playing and centers around the saxophone in both classical and contemporary jazz music. The event will feature two monographs on works by contemporary composers. The first concert will explore the musical universe of Jacob ter Veldhuis, also known as JacobTV. He composes for the saxophone in a multimedia environment and draws strong inspiration from American culture. The Dutch artist’s works are known for addressing serious social issues with global impact, such as drugs, overpopulation, delinquency, and overfishing of the oceans.
