Jan-Peter de Graaff: Stalagmieten Samba

Personal development, inspiration weekends, five-year plans, core competencies, core values, targets, mindset, Pomodoro, SWOT, WHY and purpose. Welcome to neoliberal times where a colorful parade of management terms has invaded our daily lives.

We slowly drown in constant attempts to become a better version of ourselves…

Burnouts have become commonplace among people in their thirties and forties, while people in their twenties are in a constant state of panic and cannot handle the pressure. Adolescents are trying to make up for the lost COVID years, while they are increasingly losing themselves in the Tiktok jungle in search of their authentic self.

Time for a counter-narrative!

9×13 completely loosens the reins in this performance and goes in search of the person playing. Looking for doing nothing, lazing around, chatting and musing. Wandering, strolling and daydreaming. Not to benefit from it, but just because it’s fun.
That should be enough, right?

We are building a New Babylon in which the creative person is central. Where a brass band seems to have lost playing until the players slowly rediscover themselves and ultimately touch the core of being human.

Join us on this journey and experience the best new music with a theatrical twist!

When you think of Indonesia, the spicy scents of the oriental kitchen probably come to mind. But perhaps also wajang puppets, chirping monkeys swinging through the jungle, or a volcano that could erupt at any moment. Or the traditional dances in beautiful clothing.
