Come join us at No Vacancy Gallery in the City at 8pm on Saturday 2nd of March for a concert of Exquisite firsts.
William Vyvyan Murray’s Susurrus of the Sea Sonata will be combined with Johann Sebastian Bach’s stunning first Sonata, as well as Katia Tiutinnik’s beautiful Prayer, Kaaija Saariaho’s subtle Butterflies and Florence Beatrice Price’s “Bright Eyes”.
The second half will feature Igor Stravinsky’s sombre Elegie, Judith Hamann’s gorgeous first Humming Suite, William Vyvyan Murray’s first Suite and Imogen Holst’s rarely performed first Suite for solo viola.
300 years of great music performed on a stunning 400 year old viola, 8pm on Saturday the 2nd of March at No Vacancy Gallery.

Maxim Shalygin: Khôra

Award-winning Ukrainian harpsichordist Dmytro Kokoshynskyy brings his programme Music for These Troubled Times to the third edition of Festival Le Rose, in the Galleria on the first floor of Villa Togni in Gussago. The evening is built around the live performance of Maxim Shalygin’s contemporary masterpiece, “Khôra” for solo harpsichord.
