Kris Oelbrandt: Count the Stars

In the midst of the night, God brings Abraham outside and asks him to count the stars (Gen 15:5). Abraham is speachless. God continues: ‘That’s how many descendants you will have!’ The carillon music based on this text is basically the threefold development and contraction of a centre tone, evoking the rise and fall of solar systems.
