“Reaching out to Freedom” are three short cello pieces, commissioned by the organizing festival committee for the May 5 opening ceremony, reaching out to the big liberty feast. Because of the transition character of the ceremony (passing from 4 to 5 May), and in the light of the Ukrainian-Russian war, the three pieces (“darkness”, “dawn” and “daylight”) have a contemplative, introvert character: they only gradually unfold their brightness and light, hoping for a peaceful future.
