SPECTRA’s birthday. Since 1993, the ensemble has put a remarkable musical coherence and a unique, refined sound at the service of new music. Under the passionate leadership of conductor Filip Rathé, it grew into one of our country’s leading new music ensembles.
At Bijloke Wonderland, SPECTRA itself blows out 30 candles and immediately celebrates composer Frank Nuyts 65! Jazz singer Winnie Brückner joins us on stage.
Our birthday concert features three works by Frank Nuyts, interwoven between new and old notes by Frederik Neyrinck, Clara Iannotta, Walter Hus, Furkan Keçeli, Lucien Posman, Daan Janssens and duo Thomas Smetryns and Benjamin Dousselaere.
