Maria Nikolic: Memories we Carry
The premiere of works from Maria’s debut album, dedicated to Maurice Bourgue, will take place on 27 September at one of the most authentic venues in the region; Castle Agata (Schloss Oberradkersburg).
Together with Nejc & Adam Kamplet, Maria will present four of the eight pieces from her debut album, alongside a classical piano programme featuring works by Chopin and Liszt.
The music from the album is closely connected to Maria’s memories of her time in France and the teachings of Maurice Bourgue. His memories, musical ideas, and the experiences she had as his student became an important part of the inspiration behind these works, which also reflect the atmosphere of Art Nouveau & neo-impressionism.
