Marijn Simons: Die Nacht bricht mild

This programme includes the Concerto for Cello and Strings titled “Die Nacht bricht mild” performed by the principal cellist of the Berlin Philharmonic, Ludwig Quandt. This versatile programme will also feature Astor Piazzolla’s “Le Grand Tango” in an arrangement for cello and strings. In the second half of the concert, you can look forward to an audience favourite and one of the most significant works for string orchestra of the 19th century: Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s “Serenade”.
