Marion von Tilzer: Into Eternity
A tribute to Vilma Grunwald based on her last letter to her husband written shortly before her death in Auschwitz.
The music program consists of compositions by Marion von Tilzer, performed by a nine-piece ensemble and enhanced by special staging and lighting design to give the audience an immersive concert experience.
Into Eternity – although heartbreaking, is a story about the human capacity for love. A story of courage and confidence, told by a woman who came face to face with death during the Holocaust. In the letter to her husband, Vilma sheds light on the core of accepting circumstances without losing faith in the beauty of life and hope in its goodness, with full confidence that love will take us through and beyond the end wears.
