Star trombonist of the Concertgebouw Orchestra Jörgen van Rijen opens the longest train journey with new music ever with On the Road by Wim Henderickx: for solo trombone and electronics. An appropriate start. He also plays solo pieces by Martijn Padding. With the blazers of ASKO|Schönberg he presents the new piece with which Meriç Artaç pays homage to Amsterdam. Composer des Vaderlands Martin Fondse, who travels with the music train all day, plays new work with his band. Within the Dag van de Componist.
