Max Knigge: Het Kastanjespel (The Chestnut Game)

Pynarello, the unique ensemble of violin, viola, cello and bassoon, came to life during a lockdown in 2020. The desire for ensemble playing was so strong that they looked for ways to make music together. When the world opened up again, the Fagottet gave its first concerts for an audience of 30 people. Since then they have performed in various locations, from community centers to live streams and concert halls. The surprising line-up and specially edited pieces from Rameau to the Dutch Oene van Geel make their concerts unique. Now they are coming to Zwolle in the Coffee and Classical series for a wonderful concert!

In the Coffee and Classical performance, Pynarello brings a four-person delegation that brings classical music differently, more spontaneously and more adventurously, without a conductor or sheet music. They will enchant the audience with music by Rameau, Mozart, Tsintsadze, Arensky, Knigge and van Geel.

When you think of Indonesia, the spicy scents of the oriental kitchen probably come to mind. But perhaps also wajang puppets, chirping monkeys swinging through the jungle, or a volcano that could erupt at any moment. Or the traditional dances in beautiful clothing.
