Max Knigge: 2 Interludes

Max Knigge selects Preludes and Images by Debussy and arranged them for the special combination of saxophone and string quartet. These will be complemented by Interludes composed by himself using the different line-ups and timbres offered by the octet. With their sharp contours, Vladimir Grafov’s poetic laser figures give a contemporary counter-colour to Debussy’s impressionistic timbres. This transforms the concert hall into an oasis of (sound) colour, movement and light.
