Maxim Kolomiiets: Under skyline
Since their performance at the Bouquet Stage Festival Kyiv in 2019, the Ensemble Proton has made friends with artists from Ukraine. The New Music from Ukraine project aims to give the war-torn country an artistic voice: As part of a call for tenders, the ensemble selected five composers with different musical backgrounds, who developed new works in exchange with the ensemble members.
The contemporary music scene in Ukraine shows strong influences from Western and Central European currents and is extremely lively and diverse.
