Maxim Shalygin: Angel

Drama, melancholy and reflection are the keynotes in this compelling programme. Four compositions express complex emotions, such as pain that turns into beauty, in the ultimate search for meaning. With powerful contrasts and vocal and instrumental depth, Nieuw Amsterdams Peil offers a listening experience that is both confrontational and moving.
