The Boilerhouse Foundation and Ukrainian percussionist Konstantyn Napolov present “Hold Your Ground” in the Maakhaven in The Hague.

Step into the boundless world of the Boilerhouse Foundation with the enchanting performance “Hold Your Ground – Summer Snow”. This unique triptych takes the audience on an extraordinary journey in which theater and imagination merge. Visitors are invited to take a seat and be immersed in three successive performances that form a harmonious whole. The perspective changes every evening, so that the audience can enjoy it from a different angle. These performances merge seamlessly into each other in terms of content, like a compelling palette.

“Hold Your Ground – Summer Snow” is a location performance in three phases, held at the beautiful location of the Maakhaven in The Hague. The performance combines eurythmic dance, language, play and music. The contemporary interplay of choreographies, music and text compositions explores the consequences of both the inhuman and the human desire for balance. “Hold Your Ground – Summer Snow” is an invitation to find balance and connect with others.

With the talented cast and creative team members, including percussionist Konstantyn Napolov, writer Taco Sorgdrager, actor Louis van Rijt and the dancers of the Boilerhouse Foundation, under the direction of Saskia Mees and artistic direction of Laura Vink, “Hold Your Ground – Summer Snow” an unforgettable event. (Opinions of) Aus Greidanus sr (actor, director) and Hiba Vink (writer, filmmaker and director) contribute to the artistic quality of the performance with their view.

“Hold Your Ground” promises to mesmerize audiences with breathtaking visual and aural elements, compelling storytelling and masterful performances. Each part of the performance has been carefully created to move (evoke) emotions, stimulate the imagination, and take the audience on an unforgettable and groundbreaking journey. Laura Vink, artistic director of the Boilerhouse Foundation, is proud of this new performance and looks forward to welcoming the audience to the inspiring and inviting entourage of the Maakhaven. “Hold Your Ground” is a unique theatrical experience that explores the power of inaudible storytelling and the possibilities of theater in search of a possible ‘fifth wall’,” says Vink.
